Meanings:

​The Singayaksa motif comes from the name of a place where Sultan Hasanuddin prayed for God to guide him to the best spot for him to establish his palace. This motif signifies a hope to obtain divine guidance in life in order to be able to make a good decision.

Batik Production Process in Banten

Batik production can take 1 month up to 2 years of working time depending on the purposes of the textile creation and the colour complexity. The Batik handwriting textile is generally made with 8 design steps, ranging from wax patterning to colouring process. The artists use Canting, as a tool to put hot melted wax on the cloth.

Overview of Banten Province

Banten is famous for the Ujung Kulon natural conservation center, which is designated as UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 1992.
