Meanings:
Salakanagara batik motif symbolizes the first kingdom in Betawi territory, founded by Aki Tirem in 130 AD. “Salakanegara” means “Land of Salak”, which was what the area around the sacred Mount Salak was called. Mount Salak itself is named after the scaly fruit.
