Brief Story:

Tembung Batik village is the home for 9-25 batik craftsmen. More than 500 pieces of stamped batik and a few hand-drawn batik textiles are produced in this village every month. For those of you who want to visit Tembung batik village, you have to be careful because the streets are congested by public and private vehicles. When you visit it, you will be presented with a view of the craftsmen working on plain cloth and draw beautiful designs. The North Sumatra batik has its typical motifs which represent religious beliefs and tribal ancestors living in North Sumatra.
